Understanding Sin and Grace
“I have sinned, and I fear I may continue to do so.”
There is much said about cleansing oneself of sins, seeking absolution through confession, and similar practices, but in reality, such tasks can seem nearly impossible to accomplish. (At least for me it is)
Raise your hand, if you’ve never hated anyone, raise your hand, if you’ve never lied, stolen, cheated, cursed or used Gods name in vain. I mean the opportunities to sin are endless.
From my perspective, I have never sinned intentionally to begin with. I have sinned for love, I have sinned to keep my job, I have sinned in order not to hurt someone's feelings, I have sinned out of a fight and flight mode.
All my sins have been driven by emotions. And who can control emotions, whether it’s for love, in fear of, caring for someone, or anger?
Folks, we are people who cannot reach the level of God. He is greater, wiser, and more able than we are. As much as you want to have a spiritual life, it’s not easy. Remember, we are spirits having a human experience. All humans are tied to sin.
What we could do is repent and work really hard not to repeat the same sin over and over. And more important to stay away from intentional sins. I believe there is little to no room from getting away from intentional sins without consequences.
“Intentional wrongdoing, in my view, is clear-cut. If an individual consciously decides to harm others, whether by spreading rumors to damage their reputation, using spells with the intent to cause harm, or plotting a crime such as murder or robbery. From my perspective, any act that is premeditated and not a reaction to an immediate situation is deemed intentional.
“I am aware that a sin is a sin, whether emotionally committed or intentional. Regardless, the Lord cannot help those who are trying desperately to defeat sin. There is a mindset you need in order to change your spiritual life, receive forgiveness of sin, and be born again. This mindset involves humility, genuine repentance, and a deep desire to align your life with God’s will. By embracing these principles, you open your heart to divine guidance and transformation.”
Make a mental note, God is a fair God, and he cannot let in some sinners and leave other sinners out. God simply does not allow in any sinners. That is why He sent His Son to wash our sins clean in the first place.
I am not here before you because I think I am a better person. I do not think I have sinned less than you. I too was an evil and filthy person and have had many evil thoughts. I have come to the realization that I will always be a sinner no matter how hard I try. Why? It’s simple. Come towards my children with any ill intent, and you will hear me say:
“Forgive me Father for I have sinned and this time intentionally" I am and will always be at his mercy.
“This is my testament: use the power of prayer and remember that God is always with you, offering His love. Open your heart to Him. When God wants to show His love, He often speaks to us through our circumstances, even if we don’t fully understand His will.”
Forgive yourself, love yourself, and become the best version of yourself every day God gives you the opportunity to wake up. Slowly but surely, you will find more peace and live a life of integrity and worth and your journey will be filled with divine guidance and love.
Please be easy on yourself and Trust in God’s plan and remember that every day is a new opportunity to grow and connect with His grace.”
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to you, my dear readers.
