Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don’t

There are individuals in our lives for whom nothing we say or do is ever good enough. They always see things in a negative light, and no matter how hard we try, we just can’t win with them. Gaining their approval is a never-ending struggle.

Examples:

The Negative Nancy: This could be a family member who always sees the bad side of things.

The Impossible-to-Please Boss: At work, you might have a supervisor who sets extremely high standards and never seems satisfied with your performance.

The Judgmental Friend: A friend who always compares you to others and makes you feel inadequate.

The Overbearing Parent: Parents who have high expectations and are never satisfied with your achievements.

Here is what I discovered during my healing journey. Each of those personality I encountered in my life have provided me with valuable lessons.

With those valuable lessons, I learned to set boundaries, maintain my self-worth, and understand that others’ behaviors often reflect their own inner struggles. Helping my compassionate side to develop and allowing me to take the initial step to better communicate with others according to the situation, aiming to assist not only myself but also them.

As I continue to seek to understand the ‘whys,’ I’ve realized that Earth is our school, and everyone in our lives is a teacher offering valuable lessons. Similarly, we are teachers to others, so we should harness all our personality traits to drive us forward instead of allowing them to hold us back.

I hope this helps you put things in better perspective. My aim is to bring you to a positive state of mind so you can live a peaceful, happy life because you are worthy of it. Remember, you have the power to create the life you desire. Do not let the words or actions of others dim your light. CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE 😉and free yourself.

Thank you for reading, always remember 👇Stay grounded, while life happens.
